Wiring Sanity Check - Replace Traditional Light Switches with Pulse Switches

  • I want to replace my existing upstairs/downstairs traditional on/off change-over wall switches (3-way switch) with pulse switches, not sure about the exact terminology. The Shelly Dimmer (v1) will be placed in the central ceiling box. I want to use existing wiring.

Option A would be to wire everything basically identically but use to the pulse based change-over wall switches (3-way pulse switch).

Option B would be to use some Wagos and use basic single pole pulse based wall switches (2-way pulse switch).

    Is this correct?

What would be "best practice"? Option A or B?

Also I intend to use a Shelly dimmer for a three wall switches for a single light setup that is traditionally wired to use two 3-way switch and one 4-way switch in the middle. Option B seems to be the only way to achieve that using the existing wiring?

Any help would be appreciated :)
