I just set up my first Shelly device - a 2.5 in shutter/roller mode. All works well with the Shelly app and the device's webpage, and it's recognized by Alexa.
Alexa's voice commands will be virtually the ONLY way I'll be interacting with the Shelly, and all I need the proper voice commands for OPEN, CLOSE, and STOP.
I figured out to say:
“Alexa, CLOSE (device name)”
and
“Alexa, OPEN (device name)”
However, I can't get Shelly to STOP the motor. I've said STOP, OFF, TURN OFF, and PAUSE before as well after the device name, but nothing works. And Shelly support has been of little help - their initial instructions on how to open and close were completely wrong!
Can anyone help? I can't believe I can't get this to shut off unless I pull the plug!
I should note that I'm not actually using the shelly with a roller/shutter. I'm using it on a small fan that has separate wires for two different speeds. Shelly is wired so that CLOSE operates the slow speed, and OPEN operates the fast speed. The Shelly's intentionally not calibrated, and each position has been programmed to stay on indefinitely, as there's no "end" to each speed's movement cycle.
