Shelly 1 to manage pulse relay

  • All,

I have pulse driven relay switches for my lights. I want to make these smart by installing the Shelly 1 in between the pulse buttons and the relay switch.

To generate the pulse to enable the relay, my assumption is that I need to configure the Shelly to do an 'auto off' after going into the 'on' state, to generate a 2 sec pulse. Is this correct?

Is there a way to understand the actual status of the pulse relay? As the Shelly 1 goes into 'auto off' after 2 seconds, it will always tell me it is off, while the relay can be activated... How do I track the status of the relay (and not the Shelly)?

    Thanks,

    Wim

  • To achieve this, you will have to replace the pulse relays by Shellies. Have a look at the “lexicon” in this forum!
