Not for Three-phase power...

  • I'm quite disappointed after I received my Pro4 PM. I thought it was able to control 4 separate phases thus making it possible for me to feed it with 4 separate wires. But all the phases (L) are just shorted. X(

    Not very "pro".

    I have a water heater using three-phase power (3x240V - 11A each) - and I'm not happy using several Shelly 2.5PM....

Hmm.. Ok - just sharing my frustration...

Maybe there will be a next generation "Shelly Pro 4PM Plus deLuxe"

  • Have you told this to the producer, Allterco?

This should be the right place. ;)

Technical data not read before ordering? :(

  • Connecting one channel of the Pro 4PM to a 3 phase + N contactor will allow you to switch 3 phase. If you need power measurement, a 3 EM will do that. Although I think the 3 EM isn't Ethernet connected, which is a shame.

Having said that, I agree that it is somewhat disappointing that the Pro 4 PM contacts are not dry/zero volt. It would make it so much more flexible. To also allow power measurement, something like this (or a cheaper option) inside the Shelly would solve the problem of isolation:

There was/is no technical data available on the shelly site. I too was under the impression it might be able to do 4 independent phases even instead of circuits, as nothing on the shelly site points to it doing otherwise. It's in this forum that you can discover such details. Why else would you require to connect each L circuit separately when controlling light bulbs.

Shelly needs to put more inside details of their products on the site. We are not forum dwellers, we look at the site, try to understand it, and then buy it based on that information.

It has no impact for me. But I can certainly 100% understand OP. The site lacks technical information.

  • Just want to chime in here since I too am a bit disappointed.

Given the product images the relays sure seems to be dry with L1, L2, L3 and L4 connectors. The unit I received however have only L on all four.

Of course it's my fault not researching everything before purchasing but the documentation is still not available on the product page.
