Does the Shelly Plus 1 have to have a Neutral?

    @Olsche told you the Shelly plus1 MUST have a neutral! Thus, there are NO diagrams without a neutral existing.

    What if you want to run the Shelly Plus 1 in detached mode and then run the line to to the neutral pin of the Shelly, and short the line for the load (smart wifi bulb) so it is always on. Therefore the shelly is powered and I can control the the smart bulb.

    Would this be possible?
