Pro 4PM : Need to wait 3-4 seconds between 2 push button press for only one channel and only one Pro 4PM

  • Hello,

I have currently 3 Shelly Pro 4PM installed with physical push buttons and have an issue with one of the 12 channels.

I still have to try switching channels to check if the issue could be with push buttons wires but I ask here in case it's a known issue.

For the tests I enabled the UDP Debug.

There are 3 push buttons in this room.

1/ I press one push button, light on, wait 3-4 seconds, push button, light off, log is correct in mos. I can use any button as long as I wait some seconds between 2 push.

2/ I press one push button, light on, press again without waiting, light stays on. First push is logged in mos, second one is not. If I try other push buttons without waiting, nothing happens. I wait 3-4 seconds and it works again

3/ I press one push button, light on, I then quickly push 10 times on the push button, light stays on. First push is logged in mos, NONE of all the quick pushes are logged.

Does it looks like a defective unit ? Could it be something linked to push button wiring ?

    Kind regards,

    Laurent

  • Hello,

Issue "solved", in case anybody else come here, here is the mistake I made :

I am in the middle of replacing my Eltako S12-200 which are 220V relays activated by a 24V push button.

End Goal is to keep the push buttons on the walls but also have the light status in Home Assistant.

The Shelly 4Pro-M seems to fit the need with 2 downsides :

    • Only shut phase wire, Eltako was shutting phase and neutral. (Not a big deal except maybe for the bathroom but ok for ceiling lamp)
    • I have to put 220v on my in-wall pus buttons. Hopefully wire and push buttons are certified for that but I still feel unconformable with that.

ISSUE : Regarding the push button with the issue, after reviewing everything, I noticed that this one was part of a serie of whitchs are still on the 24v DC ...
