I've just installed eight Shelly Plug S which are intermittently disconnecting with no apparent reason.
They are still connected with the wireless network where they according to the router have good and stable connections.
However, in the Android App they are seen as "Offline". When accessing them through the web interface I get an error message "Cannot fetch device settings" and "Device is unavailable". Because I can see an empty web gui, I think the web server is up, but cannot connect to some kind of backend to fetch data. Not even the current time in the upper right corner is shown.
This has happened five times on four different plugs in the week I've owned them.
The devices connected with the plugs are still turned on, it's just that the plugs are disconnected and cannot show or report power consumption. Or anthing else for that matter.
The only way I've found to get them online again is to remove the plugs from the wall socket and then put them back again. It's not enough to just press the button on the plug. They need to be completely turned off.
Does anyone have a solution on how to get them online again without having to remove/reinsert the plugs? Or perhaps some way to schedule a restart of the plugs every 12th hour or so to work around the backend turning non-responsive? Or maybe even know if there's a firmware update addressing the problem?
The plugs are all using version: 20211109-130223/v1.11.7-g682a0db and have "longifyied" device id's. That is, are using their full MAC-addresses as device id's.
