Shelly PRO2 as 2-pole / double phase step relay

  • I am searching for a (preferably Shelly-based, as I do use many Shelly products) solution for replacing some 220V DIN rail-mounted 2-pole / double phase step relays (e.g.Finder Type 20.26) for lighting control.

    The current functionality is:

relay output 1 OFF, output 2 OFF -> light switch pressed -> relay output 1 ON, output 2 OFF -> light switch pressed -> relay output 1 ON, output 2 ON -> light switch pressed -> relay output 1 OFF, output 2 OFF

(the relays are controlled with single-pole push-button/momentary switches)

Can the Shelly PRO 2 operate in this manner? (I remember reading somewhere that the Shelly 2.5 could operate in a similar manner)

  • Electrically the Shelly pro 2 is ideally suited to replace Finder type 20.26 relays. Equal handling has to be investigated - unfortunately, I have no Shelly pro 2. But there is an adequate solution to be found in “Lexicon”: With only one button switch you may control two lamps with long and short push! This seems to me a bit more comfortable as with the Finder series switching, but will need some adaptation in handling.

Thanks for the pointer, I guess that you are referring to this, right?

  • Exactly! It would be brilliant to set the appropriate link to the lexicon schematic…

As I am new here, I am not sure what you mean... the link to the schematic is already in your earlier message. My intention was to link the thread/message containing the script itself, not the schematic.
