My 3 Shelly 4PM randomly reboots and I was wondering how I could troubleshoot this ?
I follow the reboots thanks to Home Assistant notification but I can't seems to have log of the reason why it rebooted.
Any idea how I could log this ?
Could it be linked to the Wifi reception sometimes going too low ?
(My netatmo webcam reboots when they fail to connect to wifi to try to solve the issue and I am wondering if this could be the same ?)
One of the three, don't reboot anymore from time to time, screen stays black and I need to switch it off/on to reboot it.IMG20220130203544.jpg
What load are they driving? If it's inductive (motor, relay, etc.), then you will need a varistor across the contacts, or a snubber across the load. I've had lots of problems with Shelly driving even small inductive loads, and varistors across the contacts have been the solution every time. Others have reported success with snubbers, too.
No Load at all, only some hue bulbs or common lights...
Shelly support was not of great help with this. One email every two days for any question/answer.
I think I have the root cause if anybody is facing the same issue : as I was not using ethernet, I disabled it in the config. Since I re-enabled it (still without cable) I have no reboots for 2 days now.
I have now 5 Pro4PM installed and will update this thread if needed.
