I recently purchased 4 shelly motions and tried to connect them onto my wifi using the shelly cloud app on IOS. Have tried to connect 3 so far and they've all done the same thing. Seem to connect initially but then went into a cyclic reboot (flashing colors) and I'm unable to return them to factory mode (hold button for 10 seconds). Is this a firmware issue and is there anyway to reset them to factory defaults other than holding the button? Haven't tried the 4th one since it will probably do the same thing. Any help would be appreciated otherwise I will have to send them back.

Hi,
you can try pressing the reset a little longer (about 15 seconds).
I myself have 4 in operation and have never been able to observe this behavior.
If all fails, you will have to exchange them. But it's strange that everyone should have the same error.
I have never encountered anything like this with more than 100 Shelly that have been put into operation,
But I learned:
Never say Never.
Good luck.

Problem solved. I recalled some users where having trouble with UniFi wireless access points so I reviewed the wireless settings and turned on "Multicast Enhancement" in the Advanced configuration options. Can't be sure if this fixed the issue or if the consequential wireless access point reboot but all shelly motions are now connected and showing up in the network list. This was a bit strange as I have other shelly devices on the network but just happy for the motions to be working. Cheers
