Hi there,
I'm currently exclusively using Z-wave devices.
Most Z-wave in-wall switches are not well suited to handle any other lights than the classical incandescent bulbs. LED lights for example can considerable reduce the lifespans of the Z-wave switch. The high inrush current when turning on a LED light can cause the contacts of the switch to become welded together and thus the light remains permanently in the on position.
This can happen in as little as a week.
Z-wave dimmers are made for led lights and do not face this issue, however many of my lights are not dimmable and using dimmers for those is weird and needlessly expensive.
Are Shelly devices such as the Shelly 2.5 well suited for LED lights?
Secondary question:as Shelly devices are 1/4 the price of a typical Z-wave device. Hi do you co sider the quality of Shelly devices compared to typical Shelly devices?
Many thanks
