Hi, I am very new to Shelly and home automation in general. I bought a Shelly1 to be able to remotely switch on a ceiling light and I did connect the shelly successfully to the light (not at the switch because it's a UK house with no neutral at the switch). The wiring works, the native switches still control the light and I can switch the light on and off via the Shelly app successfully.
However, I need the Shelly1 to be controlled via a button.
I bought a Button1, and although I managed to add it to my network and add it to the Shelly app as well, I cannot make it to switch the Shelly (and the light) on/off.
The Shelly1 is set as a "toggle switch" (although not sure what each of the other modes really mean), and has an IP of 192.168.0.21
The shelly button is on IP 192.168.0.22 and has this URL in the Button Short Pressed URL (which is enabled) Http://192.168.0.21/relay/0?turn=toggle
nothing happens when I press the button.
I tried changing the Shelly1 button type, I changed its channel name from empty to 0 and back, I tried setting a scene in the app, but nothing worked. I would want it to be a local command so that it works even if the internet drops, but at this point is not working no matter what.
Can someone please guide me to a resolution?
