Led lamp blinking when turned off

  • I decided to automatize my LED lamp in the living room with Shelly. My setup is a two-way switch, so I used the very well-known diagram for that setup without a Neutral connection as the switch where I have Live doesn't have Neutral wires. Everything works as expected except that when I turn off the light (physical switch or from the app) the lamp is blinking. I contacted the technical service and they suggested using a Shelly RC Snubber, which is very similar to the Shelly Bypass and is connected in the same way. Unfortunately, the result is the same. I already have read in the forum other people with the same issue but no solution provided, so I guess I am unlucky here.

In case nobody can provide a solution, is there a way to know which LED lamps won't blink when turned off? I am willing to change my lamp (which is very new) but I cannot be buying multiple lamps just to test which ones work.

    Thank you!

  • What wattage has the LED lamp?

    And by the way:

    (A) Welcome to the forum!

    (B) A Shelly Bypass is totally different from a snubber. Both parts are solving different issues!

  • Shelly 1L tend to make LED lamps flicker. Thus, I would propose to add a Shelly Bypass in parallel to the lamp. A snubber does not fulfill the same demands.

  • I tried with a Shelly Bypass, same result. In the end, I found a way to use a Neutral wire and now it is working as expected (without the snubber nor bypass), with no blinking when turning it off.

Do you think if I would have used more bypasses it should have worked?

By the way, thank you for your help!
