Transformer factory calibration

  • Hi,

I tried to do a factory calibration for the transformers. The option is under transformer calibration but when I press it I have only an error message.

What is the right way of doing factory calibration?

  • Do you have a new tranformer for N?

If not, no calibration is required. Transformers which are delivered with th 3EM are calibrated. ;)

  • My issue is why I think calibration is needed that at set-up clamp A was attached to phase 3 and clamp C attached to phase 1.

I wanted to change the clamps to the right phase but then the readings are off. I also tried turn off phase 1 breaker then Shelly also does not read anything on phase 3 with clamp C as well. Phase 2 with clamp B is still working.

Now I changed back clamp A to phase 3 and clamp C to phase 1 and readings are OK again.

How should I change the clamps to the right phase?

Maybe factory reset would solve the issue? But I'd like to avoid it if possible not to lose my data.

  • Thank you for the comment!

If factory calibration cannot be executed by user I think it should be removed from the settings.

Can you advice how should I do the factory reset so my readings will be right after I change the clamps to the right phase?

Should I first change the clamps to the correct phase (measurements will be off) and then do a factory reset?

Is there a way to import my saved data after factory reset so I won't lose all previous readings?
