How to linl two or more Plus Smokes for joint alarm, or as alarm systems triggered by Shelly Motion

    Hallo All,

    today I received my 6 six Shelly Plus Smoke and try to connect them to create an joint alarm: if one is dectecting smoke, the others shalll make noise, too.

    But I am not able to link two Shelly Plus Smokes to an combined alarm system:

    a) They cannot not be added to a group. Groups are only allowed for relays, roller, light and thermostats? But not for Smoke detectors. But why?

    b) Also in scenes, they cannot be selects for an action. :thumbdown: :thumbdown:

    And

    c) I intented to use Shelly Plus Smoke as an alarm system during holidays. In case I am absent and Shelly Motion would recognizes a burglar, Shelly Plus Smoke shall be activited and starts an alarm. But this is also not possible....

    Maybe it is because of the battery: the battery is to weak for a continuously listening of appropriate input signals...

    Next, what is disturbing as well, that I cannot deactive the status notification (red led blinking, each 53 sec)...

    I am rather disappointed about the new Shelly Plus Smoke.

    What is your experience? Any hints for me?

    Hi, I just hit the same question and found this post. I can't believe this is not possible. Who would buy networked smoke detectors for >50€ each that cannot be linked?

    But thank you for the clarification. I also wrote a feature request.
