Control 24V DC window opener

    Hi all,

    I’m trying to find a way to control a Velux electric window using a Shelly. Not sure which shelly is suitable, but I think the Plus 2PM might be the one.

    Specs of the actuator i’m trying to automate:

    - it is a 24v DC motor

    - the direction of the motor is based on the polarity of the + and -

    - the maximum amps it draws is 2A @24v

    Altough it looks that the Plus 2PM can switch on 24v, I don’t believe it is able to switch polarity to open or close the window.

    Based on above specs, I need a matching Shelly. Who can assist?

    To your issue: In addition to the Shelly plus 2PM (which is generally suitable) you‘ll need a commutator. This is a combination of two NO/NC relays. Some threads in this famous forum cover this issue. Please search for „Polwender“!
