I have two Shelly variants that I use for wall switches and for lights. The Shelly 1 and the Shelly 1L. The Shelly 1 has a nice feature “Appliance type”, where I can set up the type to “light” and have Home Assistant to have a “light” entity. Which is very convenient.
The Shelly 1L is apparently missing this feature or it is hidden somewhere. I was searching for it a lot, but no results.
The “problem” I am having is that all my lights that use Shelly 1 act as lights and the Shelly 1L that I use under wall switches act as “switch” (the relay act as switch).
Everything works, all is good, just my OCD cannot accept that lights controlled by Shelly 1L relay are “switches”.
Only alternative I have found is to “display as Light” in the HASS.
Does anyone know, how to achieve a same behavior? The Shelly 1L should have the same feature as Shelly 1 according to documentation of Shelly.
