Shelly right or wrong behaviour?

  • Hello, My name is Juan, I am new in the forum and I use Openhab and Sonoff switches with Tasmota, untill I discover Shelly. They seems to bee fantastics.

I move to a new home and I wanted to integrate shelly in the wall switches. I made some test with MQTT and work fantastic, only I have an issue that I do not know if this is the normal behaviour or not.

    - I turn on - off from the Openhab, lights on/off as normal, and I can see the status in the screen.

    - I turn on - off from the ext switch, works fine and I can see the status on the screen

    - I switch ON from the wall, and then switch OFF from the APP. If I go again to the wall switch, does not turn ON again. I have to switch 2 times.

This behaviour happen independently if the light is ON or OFF. And if I switch first from the Openhab and then from the wall, happened the same. ON from Openhab, then I go to the wall switch, and when I switch, nothing happen, I have to switch again to turn OFF.

I hoped that when you switch ON/OFF from the wall and then from the app, is consistent and react as a Switch independently of there is tension or not.

I followed the wiring from the manual, like this:

Is this the normal behaviour, or I am missing some configuration?

With sonoff, I could connect external switch to the GPIO-PIN programing, and worked fine (it was like an Open C. Close C.)

    Thank you for your feedbacks!

    Hello grhosso

    WELLCOME TO THE FORUM

You need to set up the button type to "edge". Then it should work as you expect.

What is your setting in POWER ON DEFAULT MODE?

  • Hey, I found the solution.

I selected "POWER ON DEFAULT MODE" = Restore and now is working.

    Thanks.
