Yet another wiring thread

  • Sorry, I’ve really tried hard to figure this out on my own but reached a standstill.

I have a one way light switch (UK), one light attached. Switch is wired initially with common and L1. Three neutral wires connected into a wago in the box.

I’ve wired as per the diagram in the instructions I believe. See picture attached, hope it’s clear enough.

The wire in L1 moved to SW.

Added wire from common in switch to L on the Shelly.

Other than that as per picture.

Result is no light’s coming on, Shelly +1 doesn’t seem to be powered up, at least no Wi-Fi apparent.

Pulling my hair out. What am I doing wrong??

  • Welcome to the forum!

Looks quite fine - but: Are the three blue wires really neutral? What voltage do you measure between pins L an N of Shelly device?

  • Thanks thgoebel for the confirmation, good to know I'm not going mad!! I tried it in another switch with the exact same wiring and it worked fine!! I've got the electricians coming in to finish off some work next week so I'll ask them about the switch that's not working.

    Thanks again,
