Instruction to update firmware in case with ID collision
Error messages are accumulating that some Shelly devices cannot connect to the cloud due to device ID problems.
Allterco reacted here and published instructions for action.
Method:
- Make sure you are on the same network as the Shelly device!
- Determine the Shelly IP address (under Settings / Device information)
- Open an Internet browser -> input: http://shellyip/ota?url=http://provided-url-of-ota-update
-> shellyip -> adjust the IP address of the shelly! (see second point)
-> http: // provided-url-of-ota-update -> adjust "provided-url-of-ota-update"! (select the following corresponding .zip file)

- carry out a factory reset!!!

- The Shelly can now be added to your own home network again.
- The activation of the cloud is now possible again.
- Do not carry out a firmware update until firmware version 1.5.8 has been released! Otherwise the Shelly will crash again !!!
