Solar only L no Null

    Hello all,

    Im trying to connect a solar installation to a Shelley pro 3, its only possible to connect the 3 fase threads and its not possible to connect the null thread. Is it okay if we use this to shut off the fase threads and not the null thread? Or will that result in a damaged inverter/solar installation?

    We are using the Shelley to shut off the solar installation to prevent unwantingly delivering electricity to the grid.

    Thanks! And fine - obviously there is a neutral wire present. Why should it be not used with Shelly pro 3? Do you want to tell us your inverter is connected without neutral wire? May be there are such devices existing. If so (and assuming the inverter is working) you may mount the Shelly pro 3 as intended: The 3 phase wires from grid and to the inverter with the relay contacts. And one phase and neutral to the supply pins of the Shelly.

    Thanks for the help! I think the confusion is caused by the fact that the input is only for L and not for N except for the N to power the shelly. Thanks a lot!
