Hello Everyone,
I'm Nico Pretorius, an experienced electronic engineer with a passion for home automation and integrated solutions. Over the past decade, I've built a robust zWave Home Automation system with currently about 75 devices, predominantly from the Fibaro range, managed via a Fibaro Home Centre 2 gateway.
Beyond zWave, my setup includes Somfy 433Mhz RTS devices, a myriad of Wi-Fi and Ethernet networked devices, all managed via a Wi-Fi network that boasts 5 x Ruckus R310 Unleashed Wi-Fi Access Points wired to a 1000Mbps PoE Ethernet switch.
Recently, I've ventured into merging Home Assistant with my Fibaro setup. The flexibility of Home Assistant has allowed me to broaden my horizons, prompting me to test out non-Fibaro devices. Among these new additions are the Shelly UNI, 1PM Plus, and 2PM Plus devices, primarily to integrate new water level sensors.
However, like many here, I've encountered Shelly's Wi-Fi connectivity and reliability challenges. I joined this forum hoping to find solutions and, with my background, I aim to contribute based on my experiences and expertise.
Eager to delve deeper into Shelly solutions and learn from all of you!
Warm regards,
Nico
