How to gently control movement of blinds with slats?

  • Hello guys, I use Shelly 2.5 to control blinds with slats (on attached photo), not the ordinary blinds. The blinds also need to be turned (rotated) for light regulation, however, despite the original switch on the wall, it is not very comfortable after installing Shelly 2.5 due to the higher speed.

The original wall-switch (without Shelly) worked like when I held the button on the switch in the up or down direction for 1 second, I could comfortably regulate the rotation of the slats by moving them up or down (stepwise). When I held the button for 3 seconds, the complete movement of the blinds in the desired direction started.

Now the movement of the blinds through the wall-switch is extremely fast. When I want to turn the slats, I press the button on the switch and immediately press it again (start-stop) to stop the movement of the slats.

Would it not be possible to modify the software for little bit slowe movement? From the Shelly mobile application this can be regulated relatively precisely, but not via a wall-switch. Thanks for any support :)

Hi @Yuray , welcome to the forum. :)

Unfortunately, this is not feasible with the Shelly.

Only the manufacturer knows whether something will be implemented in any new firmware.

  • Hello, thanks for reply :) small fix for this is to set Button type to Momentary (I had Toggle), but when I set to Momentary, I can gently set the slats angle, but still missing feature for long press the button (to pull blinds up or down). But I've searched FB group for Shelly support and it looks like new firmware with support for Venetian blinds ?
