Hi everyone,
I have four shelly 1s (v3) up and running, everything is fine.
I recently bought two new ones, for the last two rooms I have.
I can't. Get. Them. To. Work.
They both have an open Wifi Network which I can connect to.
After connecting with my phone, they appear in the Shelly app, where I can add them to a room.
After setting a name, a picture and so on I'm asked if I want to add them to the cloud. Of course I do!
Queue a 30 second wait time that results in the following error message:
ZitatThis device has not reached the cloud yet! Please, ensure the device is powered and your WiFi network has Internet access!
Well, the device is powered on, as my phone is still connected to it. I'm even able to toggle the light in the app before this process.
If I recall correctly, I was asked to enter some Wifi credentials for the other Shellys, but not this time. It's just trying to connect immediately.
Which doesn't work. For both devices, on different days as well (I thought maybe the servers are down or something). One device is running the latest firmware as of today (2020-10-27), one isn't.
The other option is to answer "no" to the "add to cloud" question. The device is being added immediately and then appears in the room. Most of the time it's offline immediately, but I got it to appear as online at some point. I was able to control the lights and enter the settings menu (albeit only locally).
In the settings, you're able to click "add to cloud". This just results in an error message saying I need to be in the same wifi network.
I tried it both while being connected to the device directly AND to my home wifi, neither of the options worked.
One of the other options is to enter wifi credentials manually, which I also tried multiple times -> the device just goes offline.
WHY IS THIS SO DIFFICULT?
I really hope someone can help me. What am I doing wrong? I managed to set up 4 devices a year ago without any issues whatsoever.
