Shelly i3 dimmer control

Hi all,

I have setup all my lights in my home with shelly 1's or dimmer 2's. I am using momentary switches to control them and it works awesome. The dimming is done with the same button by holding it. (Standard behavior I think).

But now my issue, one of the switches controls a dimmer 2 through a shelly i3. I have the on and off (short press) function working, but don't know how to setup the hold to dim function you get when you wire the switch directly to the dimmer.

Can somebody tell me if it can be done and how to?

If you need any more info I'll gladly supply it, but here are the basics:

20 dimmer 2's

15 shelly 1's

3 shelly i3's

the shelly devices are all setup locally, no cloud involved.

3 unify ac pro accespoints

Raspberry Pi with home assistant, for some automations and seamless Google Assistant integration.

Thank you for the quick response and the welcome! What you are suggesting overwrites my current functions (on/off) and is different operation from my other switches. Because I have a lot of switches witch dimmers attached I am looking for the exact same behavior as if I connected it directly to the dimmer.

The syntax that you are mentioning seems the right one, now I only need a way to start it when I hold the button and stop when i let go.
