hello, i am new on this forum so here is my first post:
my parents are currently moving to a new built house, and they wanted me to make their home smarter without adding a hassle. so after some google research i ended up at shelly and i bought the whole lineup to make some tests.
i also bought a lot of other stuff for testing like a meanwell power supply with 1500hz pwm dimming wich i will be controlling with a 1-10v gira potentiometer with a shelly 1 or 1l behind it. first i was checking out the shelly dimmer but because of the low pwm frequency i made a compromise for smart control for the quality of the meanwell 1500hz pwm dimming. i also ordered some high quality led strip from china with dim to warm capability wich looks very promising but i am still waiting on the delivery: yuji dim to warm ledstrip
now i am also checking out some slv lights wich also have dim to warm functionality demonstrated in a youtube video: dim to warm explaination on youtube
the light sources in these videos are triac dimmable so i think they will be perfect for shelly.
so do you have any tips for a new smart home builder?
it is a bit of a bummer shelly does not have 10v pwm/ 1-10v control for the meanwell power supply because according to the specifications it has exellent pwm dimming capabilities for leds, en the shelly rgbw2 has a crappy pwm resolution. attached is a scheme of how i want to add the led power supply to a gira potentiometer with switch to a shelly
