Uni battery powered

  • Hello

Before ordering some Uni's I would like to know how long an Uni will run on a battery.

Has the Uni the same low power cpu as (eg) the windows sensor.

If yes, I was thinking of creating door sensor myself, in a location where in no power, outdoor.

I can mount a magnetic contact with a reed contact, take a long cable and put the Uni in a location covered from weather influences.

The battery pack that I can use:

    https://www.amazon.de/-/nl/dp/B0732ZX9CR

    8x 1.5v AA

    or

to make it smaller, use 2x 9V block battery (since the Uni takes anything between 12v and 36v)

If I have to replace the batteries every month, I must find another solution, if it runs for +6 months that would be great.

The spec sheet of the Uni says: consumption < 1w....

    Anyone who tried this?

  • Hello.

My UNI is using some 35 mA at 12 V power supply when connected idle.

When a AA batteries can deliver 2 Ah an endurance of some 2 days can be expected.

So battery power will not be very handy..
