Ive got the dimmer working just fine on my local wifi network but cant get it discovered on the shelly cloud so cant remote control the lighting. Similar issue with Shelly H&T see the H&T threads.
I have a Google Wifi set up with three nodes.
Dimmer powered up ok, I could access its in-built web server on its own wifi ap. Controls work all OK, calibrated it OK, set minimum brightness level. Set the wifi mode client up to connect to my own wifi network. Dimmer connected to my wifi net OK, found its IP address and can access the dimmers contorl via the on-board web server from both my pc and also from tablet (safari ipad) and phone (chrome android) connected to wifi network through cable and using different nodes of the google wifi.
Can turn light on contol light output etc all absolutely OK. Ticked the "Make device discoverable" OK. Confirmed settings on phone. The dimmer webserver shows green light for the wifi network and also for the cloud and mouseover the pop up says "connected to cloud" and "connected to wifi network".
Im logged into my shelly cloud account ie https://my.shelly.cloud/?#dashboard and the device isnt discovered. My interpretation of the user manual is that the new device should automatically appear in the "discovered devices room". This room doesnt appear so I cant find the device.
Ive clicked on "hidden devices" and managed to get to a page that has a "search for New Devices". Ive clicked on that but nothing happens and Ive left it for quite a while.
I havent checked out my router settings yet but do I need to open up any ports?
Any thoughts?
