Hello,
Just got my first Shelly devices yesterday and this is actually my first post in this forum!
I'm using a 2.5 in roller shutter mode to control my...shutter! and I wanted to calibrate it to control the position, but can't manage to do it.
I've read Dimitar's tips post on calibration and understood why it doesn't work in my case: calibration is based upon the power falling to a low level close to zero, but my old shutters don't actually control the endpoints and the power finally goes up.
In the nominal installation, i.e. without Shelly, the manufacturer's switch does the trick by detecting the over power and stopping the shutter. With Shelly 2.5, I activated obstacle detection and it works like a charm to do the job (and I'm thrilled by this feature, by the way!)
However, as it is not currently possible to perform a calibration WITH obstacle detection feature on, the power doesn't go to zero and calibration can't be done...
Any ideas on how to deal with this?
- possible to change settings to allow calibration with obstacle detection?
- I though about adding physical switches between Shelly outputs and the shutter to manually "emulate" the zero power. But this is not very accurate and practical, specially if I have to reset the module and re-do it each time...
Thank you for your help!
