Often the Next button does not work when trying to add new devices

  • Often the Next button does not work when trying to add new devices. I try refreshing, closing and opening the app again, moving around some pages but the Next button still does nothing. Sometimes it works again but most of the time is doesn't.

    I've also tries showing hidden devices and add devices from there, but the Search for new devices also seems to be disabled.

    I have a iPhone 8 with the latest IOS version. Also the Shelly app is up to date.

    Any ideas on how to fix this? I have had this problem before and reinstalled the app, going to try that now again.

    EDIT: Reinstall app does not fix it.

  • Workaround:


    Connect to the wifi/AP of the shelly itself, go to 192.168.33.1 and enter the wifi settings there. Set a static Ip which makes life easier.

    If the shelly can connect to the wifi you can finally discover the device right away in the shelly app.

  • Dito on my side .... Annoying, this next issue while adding new devices ... Wondering how the testers did not find this behaving .. It is occurring almost 8 times out of 10 devices I added to add ... Time consuming, not user friendly, and even worse ... does not make me confident that such a basic error does implicitly mean stable solution shelly is delivering ... :( .. I will nevertheless give a second chance to discover shelly devices by buying a shelly button ... because of ioBroker integration ... Would be great to be informed if this issue will be soon solved ...
