I installed my 3EM last week. The only way to install it is accessing the web portal, NOT thorough the app. The device itself is very nice. I installed it inside my electric cabinet with a 4-way breaker. The voltage and the amperage reported seems correct when I measure them with my Fluke.
The App is a different story. It is very basic and it takes, at least three, clicks to see any data. You only have two options, to see the sensor and its data or see a consumption screen, and then another click away and you can see the power trends.
The only way to download data is though the web portal. However, the data is Wh or Energy and the time is UTC
Suggestions:
- Be able to download ALL the data, not just Energy
- The App needs to be more 3EM specific. There are a lot of options that do not make any sense.
- Ability to configure rates in different tiers, so in the “main” display screen I can see today power and rate consumption with cost to date.
- Under the “Live” data, ability to trend ALL the parameters individually (W, V, A, PF) with different span periods. If possible, it will be nice to also display the voltage between phases.
- Ability to trend my bills with different span periods
- Ability to configure reports (daily, weekly, monthly, etc) that will be email to me
