As I posted in another thread about a stuck firmware update (which finally completed), One of my Shelly 1 devices struggles to stay connected to WiFi. I also have an Asus Mesh router system and I tried binding the device to each of the nodes, or just letting it auto-roam. Nothing seems to help it stay connected for more than a few hours.

Are there any settings to tweak on the Shelly device within the Internet configuration?

The stuck Shelly 1 finally came back online after the update. I will search this forum, but I have had an ongoing issue with one of my Shelly 1s always losing WiFi connectivity. It is in a bit of a week zone between two nodes of my Mesh router system. It only stays connected for a few hours at a time and mostly stays offline. It still functions correctly as far as timer schedules, etc, but does not stay connected to the Shelly Cloud.

Any suggestions on how to help it stay connected? Any Internet settings on the device I can tweak?

I need help with a scene.

When my security motion detector sends a signal to a Shelly i3. I want a specific light connected to a Shelly 1 to turn on if not already on, and then turn back off after 5 minutes. During the 5 minute timer, if another motion signal is sent, I want to reset the off timer to always turn off after 5 minutes after the LAST motion trigger.

What do I set for Condition type (one time, repeatedly or on any change)? Currently any new motion triggers are ignored once the scene is triggered the first time and it shuts off after 5 min even if a new motion signal is sent. I only want to execute the scene this if the light is off. I don't want to trigger the 5 min off timer if the light was manually turned on from the wall switch. If I add a condition for the relay being off, it keeps turning on again if I manually turn if off from the app.

I assume this section applies to the Shelly i3 because the icon looks like an i3 even though the thread topic says Shelly 1 (2)

    • The switch names in the app do not correspond to the numbering on the device. If your device is named "Motion" the app has inputs labeled Motion, Motion2 and Motion3. The physical device has I1, I2 and I3. Motion maps to I2, Motion2 to I1. This is very confusing.
    • How do you delete a condition in a scene that has an i3 button press action? Selecting the button condition does not let you edit it, instead a new condition gets added - there is no edit or delete option. If you add a button press condition to a scene and want to change it, you have to delete the entire scene and start over.
