I also got this reply as a fix for my ticket. I tested it, but it does not fix the issue. My issue is that "status" message are no longer sent to MQTT server. The other messages like announce, info have no issue.
I downgraded both my motion detectors to 2.0.5. It is working fine with the older firmware version.
Finally, after almost a year I get the 2-3 seconds wake-up response with firmware 1.11
Seit Firmware 1.11 wird auch sporadisch battery =0 gemeldet.
It is connected to the right one: WiFi RSSI: -45 dBm
2 to 3 seconds I get as long as device is awake. As soon as it goes into deep sleep (led off) is goes to 6-8 seconds.

I have a router and an access point. But sensor has never been moved, so would expect it to be always connected to the same WIFI device (access point). Sensor and WIFI distance is < 2 meters (-43 dBm). Other device is -90dBm or worse.
I reconfigured the sensor.
1. Did a factory reset
2. Configured WIFI Client
3. Updated firmware to v1.8.2 (new firmware was not shown before)
4. Set static IP address (suddenly gateway is mandatory while is still says optional)
Still 6-8 seconds delay before state is reported when in deep sleep.
I have a shelly door/window 2 connected to OpenHAB via MQTT. Whenever I open or close the sensor it takes about 10 seconds to report its status. I enabled LED light to see what happens. When opened the LED is flashing fast for about 1 second and than goes into a slower flash for about 8-9 seconds before the change is visible in MQTT. After that LED goes off.
After a reset of the sensor by removing the battery it response within 2 seconds for a couple a minutes. After the first time deep sleep it will always need 10 seconds to report.
I have the sensor connected via static ip.And it is within 2 meters to my router.
It has the latest firmware: 20200701-123436/20200701-dw2@bf6353f6
Any idea how I can improve the response time?
