After many attempts and discussion, including upgrade of different firmware, nothing worked. Now finally I tried replacing halogen bulbs with dimmable LED. This has eliminated the problem. The power is much lower and this seems to have made a difference. Power levels did not seem to be the issue as I have captured case with lower power shutting down before higher power case- there is something weird going on.

Now that the dimmer is stable, I am seeing the occasional flicker issue. I suspect this is line noise based on what I'm reading. I hope that can be resolved in firmware...

    Hello,

I purchased the device based on the following on the web page. Clearly states operating temperature down to -40C. This device meets my needs but I live in Canada and I need it to operate in an unheated shed where temperatures can get to -30C or even lower.

Fortunately I read the specification sheet that comes with the device, it says operating temperature to -20C. Then I see another reference that indicates 0C to +40.

This is a critical specification for use in Canada. Which one is correct?

    Calibration is done without error?

Yes. I read all the threads, changed to trailing edge callibration, updated firmware. Everything was successful. The status model was captured just before the device shutdown again. To me, that status indicates that everything is correct, around 46W power, except the temperature readings are clearly above the 95C threshold and it ramps up QUICK. I had to uninstall the unit. I only have 1, but I see others have this same problem. Is there a known problem with 120V no neutral operation?

Same issue as reported in other threads with over temp.

    Installed device (North America) - no neutral. SW1, L, L, O.

    Upgraded firmware.

Device quickly ramps up temperature above the threshold (no event generated). Code status below. Is this a design issue or product issue?

As this device is currently useless, I decided to upgrade the firmware. No difference. Here is the status, showing device indicating >100C and rising (i turned it off to avoid damage), no overtemp state etc.

Is this device unit defective or is this a systemic issue with this product? I don't want to bother going through the pain of trying to get a replacement device if it's not going to work. Anyone from Shelly on this board who can answer this?

I am also having this issue.

SW1,L,L,O. No neutral. Dimmable GR bulbs. Read forum, recalibrated negative edge. Turn on, indicated power draw, 47W. Continuous read of /status shows temp quickly going over 100C before it shuts off. No overtemp event generated. Before updating firmware - has anyone determined if the problem is understood and does a firmware upgrade help or should I return this device and get a refund...
