My 1PM on stock firmware running a 3kW immersion heater in a closed box approaches 85°C reported temperature after half an hour or so, at which time the immersion heater turns itself off: the Shelly doesn't trip itself.

I doubt this is firmware-related: it's probably just the combination of the I²R heating of the power measurement circuit and the ventilation situation.

    • Shelly Typ: Shelly 1
    • Device Mode (if Shelly Type is Shelly 2.5 )
    • Firmware Version: 1.9.3, 1.9.4 and 1.10.0rc2
    • Router or AccessPoint: Ubiquiti UAP-AC-Lite
    • Static IP or DHCP: Static

Bought two Shelly 1 v3 modules, came with 1.9.3. Standard wiring to a light and switch, set up to use MQTT and link to Home Assistant. Frequent disconnections, with strong correlation to operation of the physical switch, recovery only possible via a power cycle. Flashed to 1.9.4 and 1.10.0rc2, no improvement. Tried both units, eventually bricking both via attempted OTA flash to Tasmota. Finally did an FTDI flash to ESPHome, now behaving perfectly so not a hardware problem.

I have a 1PM on the same network currently running 1.9.3 (and many other ESP8266 devices) with a rock solid connection for months at a time.

Both the 1 and the 1PM can see two APs on different channels with about the same signal strength, in case that matters.

UPDATE: Had my first disconnection on ESPHome after 8½ days flawless operation — it dropped the connection for 30 seconds and sorted itself out. I wouldn't have noticed if I weren't tracking the uptime.
