I've been enjoying many months of trouble-free operation with DW2s running on Poover 600mAh rechargeable CR123A LiFePO4 batteries but have found a potentially serious issue as the batteries begin to run out of charge.

Taking the batteries out of a DW2 that appears to have run flat, a multimeter shows that one of the batteries is at 3.2V but the other is 1.1V. This is a problem becasue LiFePO4 batteries are permanently damaged if used whilst below 2V. In systems with a single battery this is usually fine as the device circuitry would normally just switch off at such a low voltage but as the DW2 uses 2 batteries in series I wonder how it can ensure that neither battery drops below 2V?

Perhaps someone else has also experienced this issue or is there some general advice on usining LiFePO4 batteries in the DW2?

Quite possibly the answer is that the DW2 is not compatible with LiFePO4 batteries? But that would be a pity as I think this is otherwise the only rechargeable option for the DW2. And it's frustrating for me as I've bought 20 of these batteries for DW2s!

I noticed that a long physical button push (more than a second or two) results in 2 MQTT messages.

Soon after pressing the button it emits a message with an input_event/0 blank event code, i.e. {"event": "", "event_cnt...

and on button release it emits a message with input_event/0 event code "L" code as expected, i.e. {"event": "L", "event_cnt...

That's totally fine for me but was a behaviour I hadn't expect from the docs.

FYI the button1 is on "fw_ver":"20210323-105237/v1.10.1-gf276b51"
