I am not totally sure of what I did as I did not make any notes at the time. To the best of my memory it was like this.

Log on to Shelly wifi and set the ip as 192.168.33.1. Sometimes after playing with it it will change to 33.2 or 33.3 but it needs to be 33.1.

Can't remember if I left it no the Shelly wifi or switched to the home wifi. Anyway on home wifi I loaded the Shelly app and after a short time it found the device. At first the settings were wrong but could change them easily. Now after being off for 24 hours it is working correctly. Hope this is of help to someone.

A point I am not sure of is if you are switching low voltage devices, how good is the mains separation from the switching side.

I thing I may have solved the problem, at least it is working at the moment.

I have increased the number of clients allowed but makes no difference. The problem seems to be that the Shelly won't accept a change of IP. It is stuck on 192.168.33.1. I don't understand why I can't change it. Must be something I am doing wrong but what?

I am still trying to connect this Shelly 1 and need help.

I have assigned it a different address by connecting to the device and going into settings and putting in a 192.168.1.xxx which it accepts. However I cannot log in to that address via a browser. When I use the Shelly app to connect it in it finds both the device and the router but fails because the Shelly is still on 192.168.33.1

How do I get over this please.

I have bought another Shelly 1 from you in hope of better success but still cannot get it to connect. Other devices connect without problem.

I go through the procedure as laid out in your directions and all goes well untill it says cannot connect to 192.168.33.1. I have changed the IP to 192.168.1.15 and is confirmed when I connect to the Shelly and go to settings but somehow this address is not being registered correctly. Can you help please.

Thank you but have had to return them as on 2 the wifi failed soon after turning them on.

A pity as they were the ideal solution for me.

I have just tried another new one and that has also failed so will be returning all for a refund.

I have tried all the methods I can find to connect my Shelly 1, have even bought another in case the first was faulty.

I am trying to access through my and everything works upto connecting Shelly and then it says that the access to my router (Billion-8800 NL) is denied because the password is wrong. It is not. I have double checked so many times.

I have tried to use and access point but although I can get into the Shelly settings it says the passwork is wrong. Have tried resetting it by switching it off 5 times but that does not seem to make any difference.

I have been trying this for over a week now and am very frustrated. Can someone please point me in the write direction
