I submitted a ticket to Shelly and they confirmed the Add On may not have sufficient power to drive the number and configuration I have installed. The Add On will power 5 DS18B20 without issue. They did suggest adding a capacitor (10µF) between the VCC and GND pins on the Shelly Plus Add-On. I chose not to do this on this occasion as I have a spare channel on another Add On I could use.

I am using a Shelly 2.5 Plus with an Add On. The unit has 2 DS18B20 fitted and an LDR using the analog in. All working well so far.
I then went to add a third DS18B20 but the app says device not found. Checked connections etc and all looks ok and swapping out sensors shown the sensor is fine.
Is there a limitation of the mix of different peripherals that can be used? I know it can support up to 5 DS18B20 but perhaps this is only of the other inputs are not used. I have searched the data sheets but cannot see any references
Thanks team,
Mark

Hello team. I have multiple Duo RGBW GU10 lamps and they are not showing power consumption on the dashboard.
They are on the latest firmware version 20211109-124527/v1.11.7-g682a0db.
Any suggestions how to get these to record the power consumption?
Thanks,
Mark.

I used a Shelly 1 to turn a dumb EV charger into a smart charger. You can read about it here - https://www.automatedhome.co.uk/new-products/c…ev-charger.html

Sorry! I have not been able to resolve this issue

Hello Shelly colleagues. I have used a Shelly 1 to turn on a security light using a 12v PIR but now I only want it on when it is dark i.e. after sunset. I still want to get a notification during the day when the PIR is triggered but I don’t want the light coming on.
Any clues how to achieve this?

I have a Shelly 1PM that switches off for no apparent reason just after midnight each day. I have never had it on a schedule or in a scene and I have checked all the settings I think are relevant.
Code{"name":null,"appliance_type":"General","ison":true,"has_timer":false,"default_state":"on","btn_type":"edge","btn_reverse":0,"auto_on":0.00,"auto_off":0.00,"schedule":false,"schedule_rules":[],"max_power":0}
What am I missing? Is there a more detailed event log so I can see what the trigger is?
Next step will be a factory reset.
Thanks!

I have the same issue with a Shelly 1PM attached to my solar pane inverter output. The max output of the inverter is 3.6kw. It appears the 1PM is sensitive to sudden increases in power throughout. I notice the overconsumption shutdown when it is cloudy and then the sun comes out. On a clear day with the inverter working smoothly there is no problem. It’s strange and I have not been able to rectify the situation. I was considering replacing the 1PM with an EM.

Hi. I have around 25 Shelly devices now and there are some that I needed to share with other family members. I created new accounts on their iPhones and used the device sharing function. When I go into their unique user ID (email) account apps I see all the Shelly devices in the Discovered Devices list and the specific devices I shared in the ‘Shared Devices’ list. How do I stop the discovered devices from appearing for the other users?
Thanks in advance.

I guess the cloud would have to ping the devices and if no response then alert the user. I had a Devolo Home hub and it would email me to say if it went off line.
That may put a lot of extra load on the cloud if done too frequently and across many devices.
I have one Duo RGBW that drops off the network and was trying to establish the frequency and any pattern.

Is there a way to get push notifications on IOS app when a device goes off line? Or even a way to get an email when the device goes off line.
Thanks,
Mark

I had the same problem where the fitting would not close tight. The fittings were from the Knightsbridge Wall and spike range. My work around was to prise off the front lens off the Shelly bulb which add around 5mm to the total length and then I cut a circle from a 2L milk carton to form a diffuser and placed that over the glass on the inside of the light fitting. Ok sounds daft but it works, the bulbs fit now.

Thank you! You are right. I had the Power On Default Mode set as Switch which disables the EdgeSwitch option. I changed the power on default to Restore Last Mode and changed the Button Type to Edge Switch and it worked as expected.
Thanks for your help again. So many options with Shelly!

I have set up a Shelly 1 with my ceiling lights in the garage. I have connected it to my existing 2 way light switches. That all works fine. The problem I have is when the lights are turned on via the app or a scene and the the physical switch is flipped the lights don’t turn off, the switch then needs flipped again for the lights to turn off. I have the button type set as a toggle. What have I missed? I would have expected a single flick of the switch to toggle the state of the relay.

I have used a Shelly 1pm with my dishwasher. The way I get it to work is to press the machines program start button to start the washing cycle and then press a shelly button2 to turn off the power via the 1pm. I then have a routine that will turn it on a 2am, using low tariff electric. When the machine powers back on it remembers it started a wash cycle and starts it. If it cannot wait then just run it as normal or press the Shelly button 2 or via the app.
