Thank you for the help and detailed explanation. After some work, I agree that the easiest would be to switch out the existing relay. Well, perhaps equally easy with what I ended up doing. I put the Shelly 1 in with the ABB relay working as the switch for the Shelly. A combination of annoyances with selection of AP on the Shelly and some wiring that threw me off in the cabinet caused it to take far longer than I would have expected. Long story short, I used this diagram and inserted the Shelly between 2 and the light using SW and O. Seems to work and the indicators on the switches light up as well.

Thank you for the extensive help. Much appreciated.

Here is the diagram I used.Screenshot_1.png

    Hi All,

I have a latching relay (see picture of the E252), with momentary switches that toggle the relay on or off. There are two switches, located in separate buildings. The wiring to the switch is pretty simple with a live going to a neutral that triggers the relay when pressed. I hooked it up without the SW and that seems like the correct wiring. However, I am not sure which Button Type will work. I tried a couple options with it connected it and it gave all kinds of issues to the relay. It seems to me that it should be a simple Momentary switch in the settings, but this just keeps clicking at the relay.

Lastly, I am unsure how it will get the feedback from the relay to the Shelly as to the state of the light (i.e., on or off). I have a separate wiring for the built in indicator light in the switch. Perhaps there is a way to use that to inform the Shelly 1 what state the light is in?

Sorry for the rambling question and lack of a diagram. Happy to take some more pictures of the wiring or other, if that helps.

    Thanks.

Anybody have any solutions for this? I have a relay with switches in two houses and I do not understand how to get it to work. There seems to be far too few wires in there. I got it wired at one point, but I may have fried my Shelly while trying to set up the type of switch. I thought just putting it at momentary switch, skipping the SW output, and running O and N to the same would work...clearly it worked...but not correctly. Or, perhaps it was a settings issue...I am not sure.

    Thanks.
