Just received my Shelly Plus H&T devices. I really have been wanting H&T with display for a while. This is a great upgrade.
But, I noticed a few shortcomings when compared to the original H&T.
- No Offset settings - The original H&T has the ability to set a temperature offset to "calibrate" with local environment. Especially when controlling an electric heater with a Shelly 1 using the temperature from the H&T.
- It's unfortunate that the battery symbol remains as "empty" when the device is connected to USB power. I would prefer either a separate symbol for external power or at least the battery to show 100% (if you can't modify the symbol on the display). Same goes for the web interface of course. It should be noticeable that the device is connected to external power. The original H&T could at least be forced to understand it is connected to external power (IIRC it didn't auto-detect) and that changed how it operated in some areas (I think sleep was effected by it).
- There are not CoIoT Protocol option available. This was important for integrating with some SmartHome systems like HomeAssistant (what I use). I always had to set CoIoT to unicast for HomeAssistant to update state properly.
It would be nice to understand why the above is either no longer necessary or if it will be implemented in a later release.
Thanks.
