No Load at all, only some hue bulbs or common lights...

Shelly support was not of great help with this. One email every two days for any question/answer.

I think I have the root cause if anybody is facing the same issue : as I was not using ethernet, I disabled it in the config. Since I re-enabled it (still without cable) I have no reboots for 2 days now.

I have now 5 Pro4PM installed and will update this thread if needed.

    Hello,

My 3 Shelly 4PM randomly reboots and I was wondering how I could troubleshoot this ?

I follow the reboots thanks to Home Assistant notification but I can't seems to have log of the reason why it rebooted.

Any idea how I could log this ?

Could it be linked to the Wifi reception sometimes going too low ?

(My netatmo webcam reboots when they fail to connect to wifi to try to solve the issue and I am wondering if this could be the same ?)

I don't think it' possible right now but would be also interested !

I would add to this :

    - Option to turn off screen after a while

    - Display the hostname on first screen. I have 5 of them in my fuse box and it would be convenient to see their name on the screen.

    Hello,

Issue "solved", in case anybody else come here, here is the mistake I made :

I am in the middle of replacing my Eltako S12-200 which are 220V relays activated by a 24V push button.

End Goal is to keep the push buttons on the walls but also have the light status in Home Assistant.

The Shelly 4Pro-M seems to fit the need with 2 downsides :

    • Only shut phase wire, Eltako was shutting phase and neutral. (Not a big deal except maybe for the bathroom but ok for ceiling lamp)
    • I have to put 220v on my in-wall pus buttons. Hopefully wire and push buttons are certified for that but I still feel unconformable with that.

ISSUE : Regarding the push button with the issue, after reviewing everything, I noticed that this one was part of a serie of whitchs are still on the 24v DC ...

Thank you very much for your answer thgoebel !

Your i3 suggestion seems interesting but then you depend on the wifi network to be up for the physical switches to work I guess ?

By any chance, do you have a suggestion for an ethernet wired solution, DIN Format with +- 12 Digital input ? Ideally I was thinking something MQTT compatible (but it could be modbus).

I would have all my push buttons on this device and then use MQTT or Home Assistant to link the Button state changes to the different Shelly PRO 4PM.

Hello, I am also replacing my ELTAKO 24V relays with Shelly PRO 4PM and what I did was :

    • Disconnect the "common" wire between 4 push buttons from the 24V DC
    • Connect the "common" wire to one of the L's of the Shelly PRO 4PM (all the L's are internally bound)
    • Connect the colored wire of each push button to the corresponding S1, S2, S3 or S4 of the Shelly PRO 4PM

I guess I have 220v when I press the button but I measured +-0.035A and I guessed it was safe.

Do you think I should stop doing my migration and go another route ?

    Hello,

I have currently 3 Shelly Pro 4PM installed with physical push buttons and have an issue with one of the 12 channels.

I still have to try switching channels to check if the issue could be with push buttons wires but I ask here in case it's a known issue.

For the tests I enabled the UDP Debug.

There are 3 push buttons in this room.

1/ I press one push button, light on, wait 3-4 seconds, push button, light off, log is correct in mos. I can use any button as long as I wait some seconds between 2 push.

2/ I press one push button, light on, press again without waiting, light stays on. First push is logged in mos, second one is not. If I try other push buttons without waiting, nothing happens. I wait 3-4 seconds and it works again

3/ I press one push button, light on, I then quickly push 10 times on the push button, light stays on. First push is logged in mos, NONE of all the quick pushes are logged.

Does it looks like a defective unit ? Could it be something linked to push button wiring ?

    Kind regards,

    Laurent
