    Greetings,

Thank you in advance for your support! We are looking forward to your comments!

We have several 1Ls, no neutral, no ground, installed in our 100+-year-old US home.
Could you please share your working 1L no-neutral wire, multi-bulb light fixtures (we have six bulb fixtures), and bulbs configuration (number of bulbs and bulb vendor/model)?

We had only been able to get the 1Ls to work with single light bulb fixtures. Incidentally, each single light bulb fixture works as expected with the in-place bulb. We could not get a four or six-bulb fixture with no neutral wire with all identical bulbs to work properly: the light bulbs stayed on all the time, and the single pole switch would not operate, i.e. turning the switch on/off did nothing.

We tested many different light bulbs (all identical bulbs in the fixture); in each test, the fixture was populated with identical bulbs, the lights stayed on, and the single pole light switch did not work, i.e. on/off did nothing, the light stayed on.
We have tested six and one GE Lighting 93098314 LED Light Bulbs, Frosted Daylight, 8-Watts, 750 Lumens bulbs in a six-bulb fixture.

We have tested six and one Dimmable Ascher Vintage LED Edison Bulbs, 6W in a six-bulb fixture.
The same result, the lights stayed on, and the single pole light switch did not work, i.e. on/off did nothing; the light stayed on.

We found this forum post that seems to suggest that no neutral relays only work with a single bulb fixture.

    FAQ (From Install Guide) https://shelly.cloud/documents/user_guide/shelly_1l.pdf

    * When using the device without neutral, Shelly 1L requires at least 20W of power consumption, in order to operate. If the connected light has a smaller power consumption, then Shelly Bypass is required for the operation of the Device! Shelly Bypass is accessory that will be sold separatley!

    Supported light types:

    • Incandescent lamps
    • Fluorescent lamps
    • Halogen lamps
    • Dimmable LED
    • Non Dimmable LED
    • Fluorescent tubes
    • Neon lamps

Thank you in advance for your support!

I'm new to Shelly technologies, so apologies for the day-one questions.

We just got several Shelly 1Ls and Shelly Dimmer 2s for our 100-year-old 110-120V home, with no neutral wires.
We got the 1Ls working, but none of the Dimmer 2s are working as expected. When we turn the breaker on, the light bulbs (10W minimum bulbs) on the Dimmer 2 stay on all the time, and the single pole switch (not a dimmer) does not work, i.e., flipping the switch on or off does not turn the light bulbs on or off.

    Setup
    1) we wired the Dimmer 2s following the Fig 2 image on the shelly dimmer smart dimming user guide.
    2) we turn the breaker on, and the light bulbs are all on. The single pole switch does not turn the lights off or on.
    3) there is no ap, i.e., no AP mode
    4) unlike the 1Ls, the Dimmer 2s have no red light next to the reset button. When we hit the reset button, there is no flashing red light next to the reset button, and the light bulbs never turn off, i.e., the relay does not reboot.

Perhaps the Dimmer 2s are different than the 1Ls, but on the back of the 1Ls, we see a red light next to the reset button when the 1L has power. When we reset 1Ls, the red light next to the reset button flashes, then the lights bulbs turn off when the relay reboots.

Currently, the Dimmer 2s have no red light next to the reset button, no AP mode when the power is on, and the reset does not appear to do anything. We have tested three Dimmer 2s, and all act the same.

We are looking forward to your comments!
