Due to the fact, the length of an output pulse has to be determined to evaluate the distance information (range from 0 to 35 milliseconds), also the URM09 sensor will NOT be supported by the Shelly “plus” Add-On

    Hi thgoebel,

I am not quite sure about that. Because in the official Shelly Plus Add-on Launch video (at 31:10) you see them demonstrating an ultrasonic sensor. When I saw that at the time being, I ordered my add-ons right away... I had not paid attention very well while watching this video for the first time (because it goes rather quick), but when you look at the wiring a bit more in detail, I think it looks like this:

So based on all I mentioned above already, I think this currently only works for ultrasonic sensor that have an analog output signal (which they measure with the add-on ADC converter).

BTW I have submitted a feature request to ask whether something like this could be implemented in the plus add-on. That one data pin can be used for the trigger pulse, and another data pin for the echo pulse (and the add-on calculates the time difference). But I didn't get any feedback. It is also not clear to me if I can see these feature request somewhere online, to find out if someone has responded...

I had yesterday upgraded the firmware to the latest:

And I see via MQTT explorer that I have recent data from my other Shellies, so my MQTT broker must be working fine:

It now pops up in my mind that there are two differences with my other Shellies:

    1) This non-working one is my first Shelly 1 switch (while the others are type Shelly plug S).

    2) My wiring of the Shelly switch is not completed yet, so I had tested this by pushing the button in the web interface:

I assume this button will also result via a message over MQTT, since the relay state is changing? Because the relay is activated when I use this button...

    Dear,

I am using MQTT to get status changes of my Shelly switches.

Using MQTT explorer you can see that my MQTT broker is working fine:

I have now installed a new switch, but it doesn't publish any messages via MQTT when the status of the switch is changed.

The MQTT settings in my Shelly user interface are identical to all my other Shelly switches.

I also tried to (temporarily) enable the debug log, but when the status changes no log is being displayed when I try to display it.

Summarized: no messages are being published when the switch status changes, and also not periodically...

Does anybody has tips how I can troubleshoot this further?

    Thanks!!!
