My Shelly Motion 1 gen was flashed with wrong firmware, instead of: http://deviceip/ota?url=http://shelly-api-eu.shelly.cloud/firmware/SHMOS-01_build.gbl it was flashed with: SHTRV-01_build.gbl (not my mistake - I was provided incorrect instructions by shelly support team). Now the device is bricked, does not respond to anything - although I can use it as a green flash light because all it does now is to shine a constant bright green light (3 days now). I'm told by the support team that they will be sending me a replacement but I hate to waste perfectly good device and was wondering if there is a way of flashing it via USB to UART cable?
I can see that it is not based on ESP chip, by the looks of it they use WGM160P chips made by Silicon Labs. I have plenty of experience with ESP32 chips but have never came across this one. Any one has any experience with it?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I had my Shelly Motion sensor for over a year and last week I was notified by Home Assistant that the battery is low. That that is pretty good over a year on one charge.

I removed it from the wall and charged it back to 100% and at the same time I have updated the firmware to version: 20220811-152232/v2.1.8@5afc928c

Today I have received notification Home Assistant that the battery is 1% ! In 7 days it drained the whole battery !

I am pretty sure that on whatever was the previous firmware version the device would go to sleep after a while but now I have noticed that it stays on all the time (I can access the web interface of that device and it responds to pings)

    What is going on here?

    Thanks
